Who we are

Founded in 1997, by  Ilsun Chung and Youngmee Park , Sodiumpartners is an idea-driven branding and design consultancy that helps companies and organizations launch, relaunch and enhance brands worldwide. Headquartered in dynamic city of Seoul, Sodiumpartners has a satellite office in New York City with partnered global networks in Shanghai, Tokyo, London and San Francisco.

Ilsun Chung / 정일선 
CEO, Creative Director, Founding Partner / 대표이사

Il is a founding partner and creative director at Sodiumpartners. From 1997 to the present, he has been leading a wide range of projects and clients from beautiful boutique to global scale brands such as Asiana Airlines, CJ Group, Hotel Shilla and Vantt for Samsung, SK Networks and Lubricants, various emotive branding programs for Amore Pacific, Kleannara, Pulmuone, Maeil Dairy, Chungjungone, Cesco, and some of the overseas projects include; LA Inc for Los Angeles Convention and Visitors Bureau, Weihai Point resort in China, KDD in Japan. Before starting Sodiumpartners, he was creative director at Landor, SF responsible for all the projects and clients in Korea. From 2002 to 2012 he had been Adjunct Professor of Strategic Branding at the IDAS of Hongik University. And he currently serves his consultancy role in Seoul Design Foundation. He holds a BFA in Art Center College of Design, Pasadena California.

Youngmee Park / 박영미 
CBO, Founding Partner / 브랜딩 대표

Youngmee is a founding partner and branding director at Sodiumpartners. She leads diverse verbal branding projects from extensive retail to large-scaled corporate issues. Most successful branding projects she led include; Aritaum, Mis-en-scene, O’sulloc for Amore Pacific, OliveYoung, Freshian & Group renaming & Nomenclature for CJ Group, Lilian for KleanNara, service branding strategy for Cesco members & mobile commercial platform brand Syrup for SK Planet, etc. She wrote a book on naming titled, 100% Naming and translated Brand Asset Management by Scott Davis into Korean. From 2012 to the present, she is serving as Vice Chairman for Korea Trademark & Design Association. She holds BA & MA from Seoul National University and MA from Georgetown University, in Washington DC.

Mijeong Park / 박미정
Creative Director, Partner / 부사장

With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Mijeong has built a reputation for the quality of her work, and transforming the agencies she works for. As well as forming her own studio, she has worked for some of the leading consultancies in Seoul and loves the power of a simple idea to create and regenerate brands across any media. At Sodiumpartners she mentors the design team and ensures that innovative idea drives the work.

Gwangho Kim / 김광호 
Head Branding Director / 상무

Gwangho has over 15 years of experience working with a diverse range of clients across the industry. Brands have been the passion of his life and, with a collaborative ethos at his core, he has led and inspired client service teams and client projects nationwide. At Sodiumpartners he ensures that a high standard of client service is consistently delivered and works for continually driving for best practice both internally and externally.
